ISSUES

In these uncertain times, Henry County and Distrist 111 need a tough, effective, conservative leader in the State House. As an Assistant District Attorney, I am used to going toe to toe with criminals and prosecuting them. I’m a tough prosecutor, and I will take my experience to the State House to be effective in delivering conservative reforms that will get Henry County families back to work.

Now more than ever, we need tough leaders who will do what they say and get the job done. You have my word that I will be effective in getting the job done, and I am anxious to get started.

That's why I'm running.

You can rest assured that I will provide the people of this district with the tough, effective conservative leadership we deserve.

The Pipkin JOBS Plan

I'm tired of politicians like those in DC who give a lot of talking points on how to attract new jobs but never deliver. Barack Obama and the politicians have failed to create jobs, so we need leaders here at home to get it right.

Now more than ever, we need elected leaders who will do what they say. You have my word that I will be effective in getting the job done. The time for talk is over. We have to get serious about creating jobs in Georgia and getting our families back to work.

Budget and Tax Reform

Spending/Budget Reform

  • Require mandatory drug testing for those receiving state assistance.
  • Will work to eliminate non-essential government spending and limit overall spending to the rate of inflation and population growth.
  • Zero-based budgeting. Support efforts to require all government agencies to justify their budgets beginning from $0 instead of having a new budget start at the previous year’s level.
Tax Relief Plan
  • Work to eliminate the corporate income tax and business inventory tax in Georgia. By doing so, we will improve our competitive advantage over neighboring states and bring high-paying jobs back to Georgia.
  • Would support replacing all or a portion of the state income tax with a sales tax. A sales tax would ensure that EVERYONE- tourists, visitors, illegal immigrants and others- would pay into the system.

Cut Red-Tape and Burdensome Regulations

It’s time to get government off the backs of our businesses. We need to cut burdensome regulations and red tape that cost business owners time and money.

I plan to form a ”Business Advisory Council” of local businesses here in Henry County that will make recommendations of how to reduce regulations in Georgia in order to attract new businesses.

Public Safety and Immigration

Henry County is facing a serious increase in crime that is putting our families at risk. As an Assistant District Attorney, I have seen this first hand, and I have fought everyday to protect our families and I will do the same as your State Representative.

In the State House, I will put my experience as a prosecutor to work to keep our families safe by supporting local law enforcement and continuing the crack down on illegal immigration.

Transportation

You can’t separate economic development and job creation with transportation. It is vital that we improve transportation and reduce traffic congestion in Henry County. If you can’t get from McDonough to Atlanta in a reasonable amount of time, what business or what family would want to locate here?

Education

Nothing is more important to our future than a good education for our children. We must improve our schools in Henry County and all across Georgia. I think we have seen with the fiasco with Atlanta Public Schools that more money isn’t the answer—it’s more accountability.
